Apple Is Offering New Users a Five-Month Free Apple Music Subscription via Shazam

Apple is offering new Apple Music users a free five-month subscription via Shazam as part of a special holiday offer. The offer applies to new Apple Music users in India, Australia, Canada, the US, and some other countries. It is valid till January 17, 2021. In order to avail of the offer, users are required to download Shazam and use it identify any song. This will lead to an option to play the song on Apple Music where you can find the deal offering five months of free Apple Music.

The offer applies to iOS users who haven’t used Apple Music’s streaming service so far. Apple mentioned the holiday offer on Shazam’s App Store page. The offer is valid for new Apple Music users in Australia, Canada, India, the US, the UK, and some other countries till January 17, 2021.

Moto G9 Plus Spotted on BIS Certification Site, Hints at India Launch: Report

Moto G9 Plus has reportedly been spotted on Indian BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification website, hinting at a future launch in the country. The phone has already gone official in Brazil in September, and since then there has been no clarity on whether it will be launched in the Indian market or not. However, the fresh BIS listing raises hopes of an India launch in the future. The company has already launched Moto G9 model in the country, and Moto G9 Power is tipped to launch in the second week of December.

MySmartPrice spotted the Moto G9 Plus listing on BIS site. The phone has been listed with model numbers XT2083-7 and XT2087-3 that are reportedly associated with Moto G9 Plus. There is no clarity on when the phone will be launched in the country, but the BIS certification does offer hope of its arrival in the imminent future.

Huawei P50 May Integrate Patented Liquid Lens Technology to Enable Millisecond-Level Focusing: Report

Huawei P50 series, expected to release next year, will reportedly integrate an innovative liquid lens technology to massively improve focusing speeds. The company looks to shake things up in smartphone imaging once again with its new patented liquid lens technology that is reported to achieve millisecond-level focusing, nearly in the lines of the human eye. The new Huawei liquid lens camera module film formation rate is reported to be almost 100 percent. A fresh report says that the liquid lens will be mass-produced and commercialised in 2021.

MyDrivers reports that this new liquid lens technology may be integrated into the Huawei P50 series next year. This new technology was patented by Huawei on December 25 last year and announced in April this year. It is expected to be mass-produced and commercialised next year. This liquid lens technology will be integrated into the telephoto lens module on the phone.

Google Opinion Rewards App That Pays for Surveys Is Now Available in Thailand

Google Opinion Rewards is now available in Thailand. The quick survey app that pays users for answering questions debuted in 2013 and besides Thailand, is currently available in India and 27 other countries. Google Opinion Rewards app lets you answer surveys in exchange for Google Play credit for Android users and PayPal money for iOS users. Besides being available now in Thailand, too, the changelog has no other update, so the addition is likely to be part of a server-side change.

Thailand has been added to the list of countries Google Opinion Rewards app can be downloaded and used in, as visible on Google’s support page and the changelog of the app on Google Play. After downloading the app, you’re initially required to answer basic questions about yourself. Google will send you surveys to answer, with questions such as, “Which logo is best?,” and “Which promotion is most compelling?”
